GM immersion

An in-market immersion for your new regional GM

You have been handed a market, a team, and a number, and you are reading all three for the first time. The org chart, the trade structure, and the way business actually gets done here are not in any briefing.

A private six-month immersion for a newly-arrived regional GM: twelve one-on-one sessions with an expert who has already run your market, and a Commercial Growth Plan you build together.

A new market does not come with a manual. It comes with people who have already run one.

Who this is for

A general manager at a global food or beverage company, newly arrived in a regional role, with a local team already in place.

Entering a market with no team on the ground yet? That is market entry, a scoped project that ends on a go or no-go. See market entry.

  • You are new to the market, and the clock is already running. You were appointed to own a territory you have not operated in before. The targets do not wait for you to find your feet, so the learning has to happen while you deliver.

  • You inherited a team, not a blank page. There are people already in place who know things you do not, and read things you cannot yet. You have to lead them credibly before you fully understand the market they work in.

  • The business runs on rules no one has written down. The distribution structure, the negotiating norms, and the way decisions really get made are specific to this market and rarely explained. You want someone who has already operated inside them.

What you get

A private program with a fixed shape, agreed before it starts.

A private six-month program

The immersion runs over six months, long enough for the market to stop being a briefing and start being something you read on your own.

Twelve one-on-one sessions with an in-market expert

Twelve private sessions with a single GM-level expert who has already operated in your market at your altitude. It is one to one, built around your decisions, not a syllabus.

A Commercial Growth Plan you build together

Across the sessions you co-develop a Commercial Growth Plan for your market: your priorities, your channel, your first moves, worked through with someone who has run this before.

The market exposure informs the discussions. It is not guaranteed access, introductions, or deal-making support, and the program never promises them.

Who guides the immersion

Named GM-level operators, each matched to one of the four regional editions. You work one to one with the expert for your market.

GM immersion questions

Is this coaching or consulting?

It is coaching and immersion, not consulting. We do not run the market for you or hand you a done-for-you plan to sign off. The whole point is that you build your own read of the market, with a GM-level expert who has already operated in it, so that you lead your team and your territory with more judgment than a briefing could ever give you.

What does the clarity call cover?

The first 90-minute clarity call is a paid, one-off session to understand your situation: the market you have taken on, the team you have inherited, and the decisions in front of you. You leave it with a clearer read of where the real risk and the real opportunity sit, and with an honest view of whether the full six-month program is the right fit. There is no commitment beyond the call.

Will this open doors or make introductions for me?

No. This is coaching, not a door-opening or deal-making service. Your expert has operated in the market, so the discussions are grounded in real exposure to how it works, but the program does not promise access, introductions, or transactions. If what you need is someone to run the market or find partners for you, that is a different engagement, and we will tell you so.

Who are the experts?

In-market GM-level experts from the GourmetPro network: senior operators who have run commercial territories in your market at the altitude you now work at. You are matched to one expert for the whole program, and you meet them on the clarity call before you commit to anything further.
