Asian food distribution in Dubai and the UAE spans Thai and Oriental wholesalers, Korean and Japanese HoReCa suppliers, Indian-food specialists and Asian commodity traders. Modhvadia, Singarea, AGSS, Hygenix, Madhoor and Arabian Ventures publish different combinations of importing, distribution, wholesale and brand-partner activity.
This is a category and role comparison, not a ranking. Sources were checked on September 16, 2026. A wholesale order form proves customer intake; it does not automatically prove that a company accepts new brands. The broader Dubai food distributor guide compares general-market candidates, while the UAE distributor guide focuses on multi-emirate coverage.

Thai and pan-Asian importer-distributors
Modhvadia General Trading
Modhvadia describes itself as a Dubai importer and wholesale distributor of Thai and Oriental foods. Its company site lists retail and catering pack formats and customers across restaurants, hotels, caterers, supermarkets and wholesalers. Intake: the site welcomes wholesale customer accounts. A brand owner should separately ask whether Modhvadia is considering new principals.
Singarea
Singarea says it directly imports Asian foods from South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore and other origins, distributing fresh, canned, frozen and ambient lines. Its UAE site presents B2B wholesale and a Ras Al Khaimah distribution centre. Intake: customer ordering is visible; brand-representation capacity and UAE territory rights need direct confirmation.
Korean and East Asian specialists
AGSS
Arabian Gulf Supplies and Services lists Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai ingredients and describes importing and distributing selected brands to HoReCa customers. Its food and beverage division is relevant to restaurant and hospitality routes. Intake: published brand representation establishes distributor activity, but it does not confirm an open category.
Hygenix General Trading
Hygenix describes imports, local retail and HoReCa distribution, and bulk sales. Its portfolio includes Asian packaged-food brands and states that the company seeks new products for the UAE. Intake: the partner invitation is a useful supplier signal; confirm target categories, territory and launch resources.
Indian and South Asian distribution
Madhoor
Madhoor presents itself as a UAE importer, wholesaler, distributor and retailer of Indian foods and festive products. Its company site makes the category focus and trade-supply role clear. Intake: ask whether the requirement is wholesale purchasing, retail supply or representation of an external brand.
Asian commodity trading
Arabian Ventures
Arabian Ventures focuses on Asian food commodities rather than a broad packaged-brand portfolio. Its company site addresses UAE buyers and Asian farms, producers and exporters, with importing, compliance, sales and distribution services. Intake: relevant for commodity producers; packaged consumer brands should confirm whether the model applies to them.
Customer wholesale routes versus brand representation
Retailers such as 1004 Gourmet and wholesalers such as Chef Middle East, Golden Grains and category traders can be valuable customers for Asian products. Their ability to supply a restaurant or shop does not by itself mean they will become an exclusive importer-distributor for a new brand. Define the role you need before outreach:
- Wholesale customer: buys available stock for resale or foodservice use.
- Importer of record: manages import documentation and customs for an agreed product.
- Distributor: holds stock and sells into agreed accounts or channels.
- Brand representative: develops listings, promotions and demand under agreed territory rights.
- Retailer or platform: sells to consumers and may buy directly or through a distributor.
How to qualify an Asian food distributor
- Specify cuisine, product type, temperature band, pack size and target customer.
- Check existing brands for category conflicts and origin-country overlap.
- Ask who handles UAE registration, Arabic labels, halal evidence where applicable and import documentation.
- Request active retail, restaurant, hotel or wholesale accounts that match the product.
- Separate Dubai coverage from nationwide coverage and confirm delivery by emirate.
- Agree margins, marketing, minimum orders, payment, expiry and performance reviews.
