Kelvin is a senior commercial management executive trained as an engineer with more than 25 years of regional and global management experience. Provided functional leadership in ESG, sustainability, brand building, business development, procurement, logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing

Passionate in plant-based and alternative proteins as well as agri-food innovation and technology. Focussing on the intersection of innovation and social impact.

As the Executive Vice President of Float Foods, he is responsible for being the strategic advisor crafting Float Foods' growth strategy and helping businesses reach their maximum potential. He also develops and executes strategies to achieve growth goals through competitive pricing, strategic partnerships, and product/market matchmaking. Moreover, he worked as a Director of ASEAN (Senior Leadership Team) at Green Monday. This time, he oversees 3 business units – Green Monday Foundation, Green Common (Products & Distribution), and Green Common Lifestyle Store (Retail & Restaurant). With experience in profit and loss leadership, managing teams, and developing partner relationships across Food Service and Retail environments, he helped the company reach its highest potential. Managing Director, Asia Pacific・2017 – 2019

  • Developed and initiated the framework for a 3 year strategic plan for Asia Pacific for the Binca group
  • Responsible for the Asia Pacific Business (Euros 100M) and managed the Naturland and Bio Suisse fully traceable certified Organic Binca Seafood Farms in Vietnam.
  • Managed strategic processing partners for feed and seafood production
  • Exported close to 200 containers a year of Organic Seafood to Europe and the US.

SATS (Singapore Airlines Terminal Service)

  • Responsible for the management of 10,000 pallet (Frozen) locations of products ranging poultry, pork, beef, lamb and added value products.
  • Imported close to 6000 tons of animal protein from around the globe.
  • Managed a fleet of 40 company owned trucks and 20 outsourced trucks
  • Managed 3 grade A production facilities, processing and supplying major institutions, retail and foodservice customers in Singapore and the region.
  • Daily distribution of over 100 points across the island
  • Successfully implemented SAP, WMS and TMS systems across the group. Improving Inventory accuracy and on time delivery. Digitizing the process from order to final delivery with no paper.
  • Diversified the supplier base to include new emerging markets like Eastern Europe and the Middle East as supply contingencies.
  • Managed a functional team of S&OP planners, procurement, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution members.

Regional Director, Asia Pacific (non-profit)・2012 – 2015

  • Setup the MSC Asia Pacific Regional Office in Singapore and expanded the MSC network by opening offices in China, Korea, Japan and Oceania.
  • Engaged multi-stakeholders from Government Agencies (Policy implementation), Multi-National Corporations, Fisheries, Academia, Zoos and Non-Governmental Agencies.
  • Led a team of Fisheries experts and Commercial engagement Managers to effect change by getting companies to adopt the MSC program to get certified and use the ecolabel to educate consumers.
  • Increased the supply of MSC certified fisheries working with seafood producers in the supply chain in Asia and incentivizing them to use the MSC logo with the support of major buyers across the region.
  • Partnered with major brands like IKEA, AEON, Walmart, Coles & Woolworths to adopt the MSC program for all their seafood purchases.

Straits Food Services

Co Founder・Singapore 2010 – 2012

  • Start up, brand building and distribution of the Frosty Boy brand (Australia) of powdered food products including soft serve, frozen yoghurt, café style beverages and savory sauces.
  • Secured major accounts to chains like IKEA, Mr Bean, KFC, Jollibee and Wendys.
  • Partnered with major equipment manufacturers to provide one stop solution to customers in Singapore. Service maintenance contracts and auto-replenishment of products.

Yum! Restaurants International (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell)

Director, Head of Supply Chain・2006 – 2010

  • Responsible for the Supply Chain for all the brands in Yum! Asia Franchise. Handling direct and indirect material purchases amounting to circa USD350M per annum
  • Farm to Fork operations, from sourcing, supplier qualification, price negotiations, long term contracts, warehousing and distribution.
  • Established the Asia Pacific Distribution Centre, managing all the core ingredients such as Poultry, Cheese, Seasoning, Pizza Toppings, Packaging, Beverages and critical equipment.
  • Delivered significant cost savings for Poultry and Cheese amounting to USD 20M savings per year to the franchise system.
  • Expanded the store openings by creating supply channels to new emerging markets such as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. Opening 2 store per day.

  • Pioneered the first inkjet printer product manufacturing in Singapore and successfully outsourced to contact manufacturers such as Flextronics.
  • R&D and patented the Service station module in the US
