Garrett's journey spans over 17+ years, making stops at various small design firms, with his most recent engagement at the largest independently owned advertising and design agency in America, The Richards Group (TRG), where he spent 9 years as a Creative Director. Throughout his career, he honed his skills in branding, design, marketing and visual strategy, working with big-name clients such as IHOP, Pie Five, Shiner, Central Market (HEB), Borden, Lakeside Foods, Frito-Lay, Motel 6, AT&T, Cooper Aerobics, and Scottish Rite for Children. His unconventional approach to design and branding has helped him earn a reputation as a leader in the industry, with a keen ability to disrupt the status quo.
With his wealth of experience, Garrett founded Grand Effect, a boutique branding agency focused on helping businesses create memorable and impactful brands. As the Co-Founder and Co-Creative Director of Grand Effect, Garrett continues to push the boundaries of F&B design and branding, working with clients across a range of industries to create compelling visual identities and marketing strategies that resonate with their target audience. Prior to this, he worked as a Design Designer at BrandCory, mastering his expertise in the food & beverage industry and the design of restaurants and packaging.
